In the fall, we visited our local pumpkin patch to make scarecrows, walk the corn maze at night with flashlights and have a fire with some great friends.  When I asked our friend if they had "real" washrooms, he said yes.  As we rounded the corner I exclaimed "these aren't real!" (b/c they were portapotties).  Hank, I guess listening to me, opens the door to the first one and says "nope, they're not real" and slams it closed again.

I was cuddling with Henry while reading my book one morning and he asked why I wasn't talking.  I told him it's because I read in my head.  He said "that's weird.  My brain makes me talk.  Hi, my name is Henry"!!!  

Today is our first "real" day of winter (snow to shovel, -20C).  I'm wishing I was back at this day with the Brown family!

After I told Henry I couldn't build a second Lego set with him right now, b/c I had to work, he went back into his room.  

Henry: I'm sorry Lily.  

Lily: For what?  

Henry: For not being nice to you. 

Lily: Das ok…..dust don't hit me with a stuffy again.  

Henry: Can I still play camping with you?  

Lily: Yeah.

It's nice to know that they're learning.  Learning to say they're sorry when they've done something not-so-nice (without being TOLD to).  Learning to play together, now that she's 3.

I can't believe that my Henry is Five today!

In a public washroom yesterday.  Jack: It says no smoking in here.  Me: So don't smoke ;oP  Henry: It says no kissing in mine!  Me: ?????  See photo below:

He and his bear gave me 5 minutes of their precious time to document this wonderful day!  Seriously....5 minutes....and I even had to bribe him!

Jack said to me  "When I see girls that look really pretty, I just can't control myself".  Me - PANIC!  "Ummmmm…what do you mean?"  Him "I don't know, I just have to chase them.  And when they think I'm handsome, they chase me a lot and try to kiss me".  Oh BOY...I am NOT ready for this!  Aren't girls supposed to be gross until he's twelve?

My husband grows a crazy moustache during November to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer (I think he does it to embarrass me....but we'll go with the awareness thing).

The other day Lily says to Dan "I wish you was a girl".  Dan: "Why?"  Lily: "Because then you wouldn't have a moustache, it's too scratchy when you kiss me".

Hank comes over from a few houses away saying: "I'm so happy I got a new stuffy!!!!  I asked for the frankenstein, but they said no, so all I got was the vampire."  

WTHeck?  So I get him to re-tell it for Dan later.  Apparently there was a grouping of stuffies near the door. And his expression was the same as mine.  I said: "I know, I heard that story & was like hmmmm????"  


And Hank says: "It's not a story, it's the TRUTH!!!!"  


Exactly.
