oh the things she does when I'm working.... | sherwood park newborn photographer
I noticed Lily out of the corner of my eye underneath the other office desk, rubbing something into our dog's bed. I asked what she was doing & she said "I dust wanted to make it all pakally for Sophie". What was she rubbing in, you ask? A whole tube of dry glitter. Sparkly…..yes, indeed! A girl needs sparkles......even if she's a dog.
Meet baby Kai, 5 weeks old. This boy is treasured. A true gift from God.

overheard conversations | edmonton newborn photographer
After I told Henry I couldn't build a second Lego set with him right now, b/c I had to work, he went back into his room.
Henry: I'm sorry Lily.
Lily: For what?
Henry: For not being nice to you.
Lily: Das ok…..dust don't hit me with a stuffy again.
Henry: Can I still play camping with you?
Lily: Yeah.
It's nice to know that they're learning. Learning to say they're sorry when they've done something not-so-nice (without being TOLD to). Learning to play together, now that she's 3.
Here's sweet Emma, 7 days fresh.

Bad decisions:
Leaving the outskirts of Calgary, we knew we needed fuel. We didn't necessarily want to drive back into town, since we were headed the opposite way. So we started driving. We *almost* turned into a station, but it was SO packed (lined up out of the lot) that I convinced Dan that we'd make it to Canmore (he disagreed, but somehow just went with me). As the km's on our readout plummeted faster than we cleared them, I got slightly worried about my decision. As we passed a sign that said "Canmore 19 km" and our truck said 12, I got pretty stressed. Praying that we would find fuel before running out. Picturing Dan having to walk x-number of km's to get us fuel in the stinking heat. And then we saw a sign for Dead Man's Flats. We got there with our truck saying 2 km to empty. Thank the Lord! Of course we knew that we could go a bit with the reading on zero.....but who wants to test that on a highway?
